I am a 40ish Christian, Wife, and Mom of an only child.
I became a Stay-at-Home Mom to my son about 5 yrs ago. Over the course of a few months my body suddenly decided to stop cooperating and I began experiencing a slew of neurological symptoms.I haven't worked at my job- that I loved- since March 2006. Heck, I've hardly left the house since then. I give a new meaning to the word Stay-at-Home Mom.
Medical Doctors couldn't come up with an answer and tried to blame it all on depression and psychosomatic illness - which I emphatically denied and still do. (Not that there is anything wrong with being depressed- its just that I was not depressed then nor am I now.)
Some time after I had given up on MD's I found a wonderful Chiropractor who I see regularly for my neck. She actually listened to me and had an explanation for almost every symptom I was experiencing- WITHOUT me telling her. She keeps me functioning and I don't know what I would do without her. I'm not where I want to be yet, but I'm not as bad as I was when this all began- most days.
But that was then and this is now..so anyway, like the saying goes..it is what it is.
So here it is...my blog.
Oh yeah, if something sounds a like it could be taken literally or sarcastically...go with the latter.
I'm known for being a smarty pants. :)
